"Always exceeds expectations. I had a piece of sumi-e style art and I needed custom size frame. The job was done faster than I expected, better than I expected, and the master showed knowlegable of ancient Japanese style, made a very good suggestion for the material, and then also did a few additional touches that fit the spirit of the artwork. The price is defintely expensive comparing to mass-production frames, but that applies to any custom hand-made framing. Based on what I researched, my price was quite modest, and the quality surprisingly high. This is true that you may have to wait quite a bit in line (if there are any customers that came in before you), because it's a small shop. In fact, even waiting is enjoyable. The room has pleasant ambience, and some of the customers are artists, you may happen to have a pleasant small talk :) (I did)"

"I just had a painting restored through Atherton Fine Art. We also had it framed. The work done was really nothing short of incredible. The painting worked on was dark, dingy and damaged when it was brought in. I wasn't sure that the restoration was going to do much, honestly, but the detail apparent after the cleaning and touch ups made all the difference in the world. The frame recommended was the one we picked and the final product is really going to be a showpiece for years to come. Mark knows his stuff and is really friendly and easy to work with."
